Monday 18th May, 2015

With a Chinese and English background Peony Lim travels between London - Asia and runs a website by the same name which covers fashion, food, travel and lifestyle. She also works as a creative consultant and own a miniature dachshund called Thumbelina who is her much loved shadow.

Best piece of advice I've ever received

You only regret the things you don't do.

Eating out

Daphnes, Feng Sushi, Oriental Canteen (South Kensington station), Ottelenghi, L-eto.

Shopping

Joseph (Brompton road), Harrods, vv roulouex, Jamb.

Best for a first date

I don't like anything too fancy for a first date, I like it to be casual and relaxed, a good pub or bistro is perfect. I love the Admiral CodAnglesey Arms and Aubaine.

Best compliment I've ever been given

'No one could ever accuse you of being stupid' - backhanded by charming nonetheless.

Favorite London pub

I like the bar snacks at the Admiral Cod and the atmosphere at the Anglesey (South Kensington), although in the summer sitting outside at The Windsor (Nothing Hill) is great.

Cocktails and dance

My club rat days are over, but I used to love Tramp

I've enjoyed reading

Cousin Bette by Honoré de Balzac.

Movie I recommend

Serena - I just saw it on a plane and it was totally absorbing.

Music I've recently discovered

Cara Dillon.

Perfect time out

A warm summers evening, with my dog and friends at a pub wasting the hours like we have them to burn.

I’d go out to dinner with

Barbara Hepworth. What a woman.

Afternoon tea

I often invite people to afternoon tea at my home. Work and personal friends. I also love to go to The Berkeley hotel for their fashion tea.

Guilty pleasure

Reality TV and things made by the CW network.

Scent

I have a couple favourites but I mostly wear Caron.

As a Mayor of London

I would look at ways to improve inner city education.

Credo

Be kind, and if you're not afraid, you are not trying hard enough.
