About the Hanworth Park Classic

The first Hanworth Classic, in 2005, was run as a challenge! The idea being it would be an additional attraction to boost visitor numbers to the Hanworth Carnival - hence the show's name.

The first event had 7 cars on show, 2 of which belonged to the organizer. The last show in Hanworth (due to the ending of the Hanworth Carnival in 2009), had 58 vehicles.

Then a chance comment led to the first show in Bushy Park in 2009.

2011 saw the introduction of 1940s & 50s Jive, Swing & Rock and Roll music and Dance, hosted by Kingstons swing jive club Everything's Jumpin. This has grown to several hundred dancers many of which are dressed in period, with a large covered dance floor for adults and a mini one especially for children, with a picnic area in front has made this a very special event.

Since then The Hanworth Classic has been a regular feature on Bushy Park's event's calendar, with over £20,300.00 being raised for the local charity, Shooting Star/Chase Children's Hospices. We are sure our continuing success and growth can be attributed to the wonderful setting of Bushy Park combined with the very family friendly atmosphere of the Show.

Last year over 500 vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, scooters, commercial and military were on display covering all eras from the early 1900s to the present day.

June 24, 2018, from 11am to 16pm. Bushy Park, TW12 2EJ Hampton, London. I: www.hanworthclassic.org.uk.
